First of all, I hope that they are all healthy and doing well under the circumstances!
It is a difficult situation for all of us, because we are suddenly in a global crisis that nobody expected. It almost seems as if the world has been brought to a standstill and we are all only connected virtually.
Positive aspects of the corona crisis…
Despite everything, there is also something good about it, because we spend time with our loved ones – perhaps more than we would like;-). We may also reconnect with old friends, worry and care more about our family. Pause and reflect on the essentials away from consumption and socializing.
…but unfortunately also many negative aspects
But of course, this crisis is having a strong economic impact, which some people may already be feeling. Of course, we at the daycare center also have to manage the crisis. In the first week everything was cleaned, tidied and organized, but of course we can’t do that for 5 weeks. In the 2nd week, all employees have been granted paid leave and in the 3rd week everyone brings in a week’s vacation. We try to accommodate each other and find the best possible solution for everyone.
Updated services and closing times in summer
Of course I also know that it must be very unsatisfactory for the parents to pay for a service that they cannot use, so to accommodate our parents I have canceled the meal costs for all of them.
We will also reduce our closing time in August for 2 weeks to one week, as many parents will certainly have to take vacation now that they do not have childcare.
Together and with each other
In these difficult times, we all want to support and accommodate each other, just as we always do at the farm daycare center, so that everything can continue to go well after the Corona crisis.
Best wishes and have a great day!
Yours, Helli Wunderlich-Steger
