For happy children who can use all their senses and experience the seasons in nature: Farm, nature & forest kindergarten
Winter is just around the corner – possibly a winter with less heating. But the children at our farm daycare center don’t mind, as they are used to being outside in all weathers.
It’s all a question of the right clothing, and perhaps also of being used to it. And anyway, children don’t get sick because they’ve been outside. But because too many children spend too much time together in often overheated rooms during the cold season. Since viruses also feel comfortable when it gets warm, they have plenty of time to jump from child to child in the fall and winter (and sometimes infect an adult in between).
What are the advantages of nature-oriented kindergartens – whether farm kindergartens or forest kindergartens?
At our farm daycare center, just like in nature kindergartens or forest kindergartens, the focus is on the children spending a lot of time outdoors in order to experience the seasons up close, to play freely and train their motor skills: romping around, playing, climbing trees, jumping through puddles and rolling down the hill in the snow – instead of leaning forward at the table. They can also play creatively and freely outside and develop games together, which also strengthens social interaction.
Health, peace and nature as a concept
But there are other advantages that are perhaps not quite so obvious, such as a lower noise level: lots of children in a small space – that can get really loud. When the children are outside, their ears and nerves are much less stressed and quiet children also have a chance to have their say. And the nerves of the nursery teachers are also spared.
And as already mentioned, viruses outside have much less chance of jumping from child to child. Especially as being out in the fresh air is also good for the immune system. It goes without saying that the children wear appropriate warm clothing. Incidentally, children in forest kindergartens, nature kindergartens or farm daycare centers do not get sick more often than in “normal” kindergartens – but rather less often.
The best of premium daycare center and forest kindergarten = farm daycare center
At our farm nursery, there is not only plenty of fresh air every day and a close-up experience of the seasons, but also the best of a nature or forest nursery and a premium nursery. The concept of a farm daycare center combines everything. We also focus on the beneficial interaction with animals – we are a member of the National Association for the Protection of Birds – and offer a bilingual environment and reliable all-day care. And sometimes we also stay in our spacious, bright rooms and bake, do handicrafts and have it pleasantly warm. It doesn’t always have to be one or the other.
