1. Mission statement, location and environment
Our farm day care centre combines two kindergarten and three crèche groups under one roof. The Child Care Company Centers sees itself as an educational institution that implements the contents of the Bavarian Education and Upbringing Plan and thus strengthens the developmentally appropriate teaching and promotion of skills and characteristics of the child. The children should be strengthened in their self-confidence and independence, and their curiosity and joy in learning should be awakened.
In order to make this possible, we attach great importance to a loving and appreciative atmosphere. The children may especially benefit from our focus on animal and nature education and learn to take responsibility in everyday life, to overcome fears, to discover the world with all their senses and a sustainable approach to nature and the resources available to us, according to our motto:
“When we explore, build, and experiment, experience the world with all our senses, and make animal and human friends – the child’s soul laughs!”
These experiences are open to the children in the farm day care centre, so that they can develop freely and be lovingly introduced to new activities or tasks. A quote from Gerald Hüter expresses our efforts to live nature education intensively with the children in a particularly beautiful way:
” Out. Out there is everything that has to be laboriously pieced together inside – out there is movement, there is language, there is social competence, there is natural science!” (Gerald Hüter)
2. Sponsorship of the farm day care centre
The “Haus für Kinder” is a private institution run by the managing director of the Child Care Company GmbH, Helli Wunderlich-Heun, and is subject to the legal requirements of the BayKiBiG (Bavarian Child Education and Care Act).
You want to reconcile child and career?
We support you in this!
Being a mother of three children myself (Victoria, born in 2003, Felicitas, born in 2004 and Ferdinand, born in 2011), I am very familiar with the difficulties and needs that a working mother faces. Therefore, my vision is to support working mothers as much as possible in order to give them the possibility to “stand their ground” in responsible positions.
In all of this, of course, the love for the child always comes first!
3. Location
Our farm day care center is located in the rural but nevertheless close to the city Feldmoching in the north of Munich. Quietly and embedded in a lot of green, the children can get to know our animals, educators and group members on a total area of 7000 square meters.
A nearby forest invites you to walk and hide and holds many a surprise for our children. The Feldmochinger See is in the immediate vicinity, so that migratory birds can be observed all year round and excursions can be made.
Our flower beds and fruit trees are tended together with the children and the harvest is processed together. Depending on the season, insects can be learned about in the flower meadow or our little hill can be used for sledding. If we have aroused your interest, you are welcome to visit our facility. We are looking forward to your visit!
4. Social environment
The children of the Bauernhofkita come from the north of Munich, Ober- and Unterschleißheim as well as from Dachau, Karlsfeld and Moosach. However, some children also live in the busy Schwabing or the inner city and enjoy the natural surroundings with us. The families have different social backgrounds and nationalities, which enriches our target group. Our farm children are cared for by German and English-speaking pedagogical staff and receive linguistic support. Most of the parents are very busy at work and benefit from our flexible childcare hours.
Contacts between parents do not only take place through joint parents’ evenings or parents’ cafés; new acquaintances and friendships also develop privately, both among the children and the parents. The farm day care center is predominantly made up of families with one to three children.
